Providing a casual setting for realistic gameplay

VRY Tactical is an Arma 3 Community that seeks realistic gameplay while keeping the setting casual. We use the basic combat structure of the United States Army to organize ourselves in missions. We do not use an official rank system. We use more of a qualification system, which will be listed here:

• Lieutenant: Creates mission, acts as Platoon leader
  
• Sergeant: Squad Leaders
  
• Corporal: Fireteam Leaders
  
• Private: All soldiers not qualified to lead

Even with our rank system, a "Coropral" does not have to lead a fireteam every mission, unless there is no one else qualified. He could, for example, decide to play as an autorifleman for the course of the mission. The ranks also hold no power in the community. Those roles will be held by proper moderators, and it is not tied to your in-game leadership rank.

While our rank structure does not stay in line with realism, we do use more realistic game settings such as limiting our viewpoint to first person, and by removing crosshairs.

As a matter of accessablility, few mods are used. The mods that are used are primarily mods that allow for ease of communication while on the battlefield. The small amount of mods also ensures that everyone is able to jump in and play, without having to worry if a large mod has an update.
