ABOUT UnitedBuilders-community

UnitedBuilders-community group

Community for everybody interested in Garry's mod. The group is focused on team PVP attack-defence strategies with maximum use of Garry's mod physics like building strongholds and armored vehicles. However, peaceful builders with no interest in fights are welcome too.
We own high quality german based Garry's mod server, so anybody from Europe should have very low ping and no lags. As far as we know, players from all around world use our server with decent performance.
The server is equipped with great building and fight centered addons (like wiremod, stacker, set position, smart snap, TFA, adv dupe 2 etc.). Players are ranked with automatic ranking system based on hours spend (to the rank "Major"). Higher ranks given manually by admins for good performance in building and community achievements (helping other players, good attitude etc.)

UB celebrates 6 years!

On this day the UB community counts 6 years of existence. Huge goal to be reached by any community or project and still going strong. It's great to see that the core of the community is what drives us forward however everyone helps.

I'd just like to personally thank Dolph, xATx, Cylo, Adex, Nikolai, Ghosty and of course John. They've done a great job at keeping everything secure and going forward.

Now with the new map rotation system, a whole new map (vyten) and some amazing new faces like Bleeker, Katie and Kander we have done a lot. Sadly lost some too but that can always change!

You do have to know that gmod has been in a very difficult state over the past year but fear not to keep going and keep learning until the end. It's amazing how much knowledge can translate from gmod.

Even if you aren't too skilled at building this can be used to improve your skills, aslong as you have the will you should absolutely join!

Anyhow we reached 6, but can we reach 7? :cleancake:

UB celebrates it's 5th birthday

We have done it yet again. Half a decade has been reached! I cannot thank all of you enough for making this place what it is.

This year may have been very difficult for a lot of us due to a very specific virus and likely lots of personal problems that everyone faced. However we made it here. Many great things very started and many finished. A very major update hit UB in this year and it has improved the experience quite a bit. As well, the timeline project began somewhere near the end of 2020.

Many great events were hosted, many great memories made and many great friendships achieved. I specifically want to thank xATx, Barack, Mac and Cylo for their dedication in the community. Dolph and Ghosty for coding personalized addons to improve the server and all of you who played and made someone's day at least once.

Let's hope another great year awaits us and remember that unity and creating is what keeps us going. So get out there and make some builds.

Would recommend not having any more than 15ish props for collision. Parent the rest (the details/looks). You can even use prop 2 mesh for the visuals.

Welding bases is pointless altogether.

Please add OptiWeld, it helps with building a lot and optimises welding large structures (had a 66 prop dupe once with 2000 welds, welded ALL props together using smartweld, its like 200 welds only with optiweld)

download these addons: https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1145461410 Make sure not to load addons such as Anti Drive and Falco's Prop Protection (FPP). These can mess up your game while playing in singleplayer or somewhere else where these kinds of restrictions aren't needed.
