Overwatch" in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a system that allows experienced players to act as investigators and make judgements on whether or not other players are cheating. The system was introduced as a way to combat the problem of cheating in the game, which has been a persistent issue in the CS:GO community.

When a player is reported for cheating, the report goes into a pool of cases that are randomly assigned to "Overwatch Investigators." These investigators are players who have been selected for their experience and in-game achievements, and have been given access to a special version of the game that allows them to watch demos of the reported player's matches from a variety of different perspectives.

The investigators then have to watch the demos and make a judgement on whether or not the player was cheating. If enough investigators come to the same conclusion, the player will be banned from the game. The system is designed to be highly transparent, with investigators given access to detailed information about the reported player, including their in-game statistics, the timing of the suspicious events, and the locations of the player and other players on the map.

While Overwatch is a great tool to counter cheating in the game, but it is not perfect, and it is not uncommon for players who have been falsely accused to be punished as a result of the system. However, Valve, the developer of CS:GO, frequently update the system to improve its accuracy and reduce the number of false positives.
