When: Hows about this saturday evening/ night?

Saturday or Sunday night would be the best time, and we should try to make it a regular thing. I don't have many multiplayer games but I would be willing to purchase the right game if everybody was on board to play it. Or we just play CS:GO cause I already got that.

I'd be down for every Sunday

Since I have a crippling case of the sad brains this week I am down for both saturday and sunday.

As for times, I think official time should be:
Saturday 4pm-11:59pm EST
Sunday 4pm-8pm EST (not sure if that interferes with Dick Show Live Stream, not a $20 patrioni)

However just because these are the official times doesn't mean that is when you have to be ready to game with other DickHeads. Show up in the chat and leave it running while you play games and others who wanna play will join.

Thanks to all people who showed up on the Steam thread. The first Reddit thread did well but people got sick of that shit by the 2nd thread. I will post an announcement on the reddit reminding people we still doing this today. I suspect a lot of flaking, which honestly isn't too bad a thring. I've had amazing times playing in groups of 2 or 3 people and seen total cluster fucks when it's in the hundreds.

If anyone is able to get the group admin to set it up as an official event that pings people in this group that would be nice.


I'll be in the STEAM chatroom all weekend. I suggest just oppening the chatroom window and leaving it open and just popping in and out as you please.

While an official list is great for having an idea what everyone is into, I'm realizing in practice it would be a disaster as a hard rule. Many people who say they are up for playing some game over the weekend and post about it on a Reddit thread can be equally as flakey.

If a game you don't own was selected and you feel left behind, don't worry.

• Don't leave the STEAM chat We'll all be back in 1 hour (I'll try and keep time best I can, but sometimes a match may run a few minutes over or inorder to avoid running over we might come back early)

  Don't be affraid to message someone and pair off with another person who was a straggler. No one is gonna force you two to wait around for everyone. You find someone who wants to Play Tekken with you while everyone does an hour of GTA V go for it.
  
  
• If time ends and you still wanna play, please consider leaving anyways and suggesting in the chat we all go for another hour. You just might convince everyone
  
  We've all been there. Gaming in a group, have a good time one guy doesn't wanna stick arround because they wanna stay in one gamemode and slowly the group splinters until you're playing with yourself again. I'm not your mother, I can't tell you what to do, but please consider that if we all had a good time on a game you don't wanna leave, we might all agree with you and go again for another hour. Seperately we are twigs that can be broken with ease, but bundled together we are a mighty unbreakable faggot.
  
  
  OFF STEAM SCREEN NAMES (and a general good practice online)
  
  We may all decide playing a non-steam game seems like a good idea. However not all gaming platforms and screen names are built equally. Steam is more or less well built for rough and tumble fun, but to remain on the side of caution non-steam ID's should be private messaged via steam to everyone who is playing.
  
  I will co-ordinate best I can in these situations to gather the party.

  While much like an official list of games seems like a good idea but in practice not so much, limiting ourselves to a single official voice chat works the same. Here are ideas, per game we play will be decided in STEAM CHAT
  
  
• The Dickshow Discord is nice, but discord is touchy with mics. I will keep my Discord open to but keep in mind plenty of people who don't game may be popping in and out.
  
  
• In game voice chats work great, but are not available for all games. For a game like overwatch they are a gret idea. But if we play something more obscure it won't be available
  
  
• Steam has it's own Voice Chat. I've used it before and it works well and we may use it for a lot of stuff. Click the drop down arrow in the top right and select it. Might not work for nonsteam and
  
  
• Skype isn't happening.
  
  
• Ventrillo or any of the other voice services that most people don't have installed or have to pay for aren't happening either

+1 to Speedrunners. It's like Mario Kart if it was a sidescrolling platformer with grappling hooks.

I'd like to suggest Tabletop Simulator for anyone who likes board games. It's basically a board game engine, and users create board games (i.e. recreate real board games) that anyone can play in it. Virtually any board game you can think of is there. And since they're all user-submitted, it's a brilliant way to get around copyright issues.

• A person named SNOWDEN lurked in the chat. Everyone talked shit to him and made jokes about him being a dog bite lawyer too dumb to even join the group whose chat he was spying on until he left.
  
  
• Civ V was a glorious disaster 3 player disaster. Thank you to the DickHead who gave HoneyMetalBadger the free copy of Civ V. Carlos Danger played as a group of Iroquouis who believed their was nothing inherently wrong with being a cuckhold with an authoritarian government system that uses legalism. After attacking and destroying Honey's Capital capital city with our team of lawyers for making fun of our tribe we made all his men have sex with our girlfriends while our drunken warrior lawyer samurais watched. Carlos then declared himself the winner and the greatest smartest bestest person who ever was and the game was over for reasons unrelated to Civ V multiplayer being shit and a full game taking more than a single hour.
  
  
• BrowBoatin88 continued to have issues joining because he couldn't figure out Discord and was quote "too old to understand this shit" although it was most likely Carlos's fault for not explaining well enough.
  
  
• After fiddling to get the Discord working for a while, we set up a Team Fortress 2 game. We were joined by more Dick Heads the most notable of which being TomTheTerrible who shared enlightened views on race, homosexuals, and Bill Clintons peace keeping mission in his home country of Syrbia, and KimJongSkill who kept killing CarlosDanger. Tom promised when Hillary dies he will buy a 'Men are better than Women' and put in on her headstone and told us Hungarian girls are really hot and really easy and promised to hook any dickhead who comes to visit him up with one.
  
  
• When time was up, everyone booted up L4D. Joined by AYYYYYdolfHitmao, BJWoody, Broseph and some other people who I don't remember. TomTheTerrible established that all weapons in the game are AR15's, as well as all health packs, defibs, painkillers, and adrenaline shots. We then all worked together to ban all AR15's by confiscating them all and shooting all the bullets. A non-dickhead named Shepard joined the game and was a Douche so everyone including his own team mates from the DickShow Discord worked to kill him until he rage quit.
  
  
• Once done, Tom and many others left because they were tired, and were replace by a wild Moose on the loose who helped fill a full slots for a full overwatch team.CarloseDanger was worn out and tired of talking but luckily Moose and Co. picked up the slack in the conversation. We attempted to convert non Dick Show listener WhatThePuppy to convert to accepting our lord and savior Dick Masterson as their new Podcast God, and denounce all things Maddox. After losing all but one match, there was a conversation about progrock/music and gay sex between 2 or 3 Dickheads that took over the night. We eventually had more Dickheads wanting to join in than we had slots for play and unfortunately Carlos left and ended the event an hour early because he was a sleepy sad brain bitch.

Gaming Weekend was pretty awesome! Thanks to all of you that made it a blast. I will post a seperate discussion thread but responding here or in the seperate discussion thread is fine.

• If you guys were serious about getting it started for a weekly thing, we definately need more than just me to organize. If anyone else would like to take the role of organizer that would be awesome. I'd hopefully be able to get 3 more people as I am capable of doing this once a month, but once a week consistantly is unlikely. Prefered people are people who like planning events and are good at making people feel included or.... whatever.
  
  
• Tom had the idea that we could also share extra copies of games with people who are amongst the group. Humble Bundle usually has shit tons of extra keys, certain users can family share accounts to share libraries, etc. I usually have tons of extra ganes anyways from bundles and I can post game deals regularly
  
  
• I really wanna ask the group admin if we can be mods on this group. Reason; so we have the ability to send out event notifications on steam to Dickheads so they can hop in and out. If not and you guys are serious about a weekly thing, then we'll have to start a seperate group for events.... and 2 dick show groups as already enough
  
  
• I also wanna ask the Discord mod folks if they could open a text channel for us.That way we aren't always spamming general with game deals and such... Then again the Discord seemed to like the gaming night chatter so maybe we should keep it in general.
