1) CONNECT

JOIN TM8 DISCORD[discord.gg]

It's free and quick. Mics are useful but optional.
Installing the Discord app is optional but recommended.

2) GATHER

Use @mentions in Discord

Let us know which games, modes, and DLC you're looking to play.

Find and join TM8s via our Steam Chat Room ↗ , In-game Networks, etc.

Invite others. TM8 is an open group. More members = more lobbies.
All clans are welcome but you may be judged by the company you keep.

3) AVOID CHEATERS AND PLAY FAIR

LEARN THE TOOLS. BE AWARE. PLAY FAIR

Anyone with a VAC or other ban will be kicked.
Cheating, boosting, glitching, spam, or disrespectful behavior
cannot be tolerated.

Note: TM8 can only support players with either all DLC or no DLC. Learn why?

PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND

TM8 formed in 2015 after the "best selling" AAA multiplayer game (Advanced Warfare) lacked enough players (the same lobby and DLC) to play anything but Team Deathmatch. The group also helps and encourages members to avoid banned players and to learn to distinguish between cheats and skills. We actively sponsor and support other groups and clans who share these values.

New, Low-level Anti-cheat Coming to Windows Soon

Finally, some low-level anti-cheat efforts! Probably the best news I've heard for PC gamers all decade! Let's hope it's fairly effective... or at least forces cheaters to frak up their systems so bad that fewer risk doing so.

The Verge: Microsoft quietly added an anti-cheat game feature to Windows 10[google.com]

The anti-cheat system is called TruePlay. If effective, this will be a serious game changer. We probably won't see be seeing it in games until next year.

And it will likely be exclusive to UWP, offering the first real incentive to play on the Universal Windows Platform rather than Steam, Origin, etc. With UWP, we'd sacrifice some control over this part of our machines and be forced to buy through the Windows Store. It's kinda like having a console within your PC, but if that means significantly less cheating, this could revive online PC gaming in a major way. Plus you'd still have full control outside of UWP for legacy games, apps, etc.

TM8 had six of us on Discord last night. We decided to play a few hours of Mosh Pit (no DLC) together. It was good fun and quite nostalgic for most of us. Most played like 4 hours every night back in 2015. It's generally a casual group who spends most of our time laughing.
