I want to make my shop available for public use. However, since non-mineral terrain blocks are hidden from the shop, this makes me unable to take those blocks out of my shop.

This wouldn't be a problem, accept that you are still able to sell those items to the shop, which means if I have any cash in the shop, people can "steal" my money by selling me things I cannot take out of the shop again. I can't even edit the price to these items, because, they are hidden.

You can also sell these items to the default shops, so hiding them isn't doing anything other then make these items unpurchasable.
