Calling all talented female DotA2 athletes! Join us on an incredible international journey!

NESA presents an extraordinary opportunity for qualifying female athletes to compete in DotA2 on the international stage. To register, please contact NESA at info@esportsnamibia.org. Once registered, you'll be added to a group where you can ask questions and receive future updates.

In late July, NESA will conduct interviews with all interested and registered athletes. Based on the specific qualities we seek, we will select the most suitable athletes. In some cases, NESA may request gameplay demonstrations to aid the decision-making process.

Requirements:
🔸 Must be a registered and paid NESA member (N$100 per year) at nesaportal.org
🔸 Email the following to NESA:
- Namibian ID (Namibian Citizen)
- Valid Passport (up to 30 June 2024)
- Portrait photo (based on passport photo standards)
- Steam profile link (Main Account)
- Optional: Rank and Position
Additional Requirements:
🔸 Willingness and ability to travel overseas if necessary
🔸 Commitment to practicing 3 times per week with the team
🔸 If not a resident of Windhoek, willing to travel for the GEF African Regionals if required
The Selection Process: As the number of known female DotA 2 athletes in the community is limited, NESA will not hold qualifiers at this time. Instead, NESA will conduct interviews with all applicants. Selection will be based on conduct, game experience, and other factors. In case of tiebreakers, athletes may be requested to compete against each other or alternative methods determined by NESA may be used.

Ready, set, race!

For the first time ever, Namibia and South Africa will co-host national qualifiers for Assetto Corsa. The Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) and Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) will be working together to each find their two best drivers for the Monaco SimRacing World Cup (SRWC)! Registrations for this milestone event closes at 23:59 on Friday, 8 July 2022.

The action is set to kick into high gear on Saturday, 9 July, at 14:00, and all participants stand a chance to win amazing prizes as well as the chance to represent Namibia and South Africa respectively at the Continental qualifying races of the World Cup, where two racers from each continent will qualify for the Grand Final to be held in Monaco.

Everyone is welcome to enter and are eligible for the cash prizes, it is however only Namibian and South African citizens that can be chosen for both countries’ national esports team. Information for entries can be found on NESA’s website at the following link: https://esportsnamibia.org/ac-qualifiers-registration/. Entry fees for each country will be available here as well.

Excitement is building as the online event draws closer. NESA and MSSA wishes the best of luck to all participants and may the best driver win!
