Ranni, sometimes also referred to as the Snow Witch, is a mysterious woman with four arms in Elden Ring.

Lunar Princess Ranni is the daughter of Radagon, a champion of the Golden Order, and Queen Rennala, head of the Carian Royal Family of the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Ranni had two siblings, Radahn and Rykard. Ranni was born an Empyrean, meaning she had the potential to one day succeed the divine Queen Marika as ruler of the Lands Between. The Two Fingers chose her as a potential successor and granted her a Shadow by the name of Blaidd to be her servant, who was raised as her foster brother. Ranni grew up playing with Blaidd and Iji, a giant blacksmith who served the Carian royals.

Ranni had a master known simply as the "Snow Witch", who taught her cold-based spells and also to respect the outer god known as the "Dark Moon". At some point, Ranni's father left her mother to marry Queen Marika and assume the title of second Elden Lord, thus Ranni and her siblings were raised to demigod status by their new stepmother.
