Surferio is a village to the northwest of Peterny, and is the main gate to the Sanmite Republic.

The former capital of the Ancient Kingdom of Aquor, a kingdom which pre-dates both the Sacred Kingdom of Aquaria and the military superpower of Airyglyph. According to historical texts, in a war 300 years ago, Sirvia I, the future queen, released the power of the Sacred Orb to strike back against the Mechanized Corps of the technological superpower of Greeton. The Corps was occupying Surferio at the time and as a result, the city sank below the sea, along with the occupying forces. At present, the city is located in territory belonging to the Sanmite Republic, and it is said that many humanoids who are suited to life underwater dwell there.

If Fayt, Cliff, and Nel help Roger out of the cage in the Moonshadow Clan hideout, he can be found here and recruited temporarily. Recruiting Roger starts the Ancient Books side-quest.

Later, the party travels through here on their way to the Ancient Ruins of Mosel.

Surferio is home to several different races, such as Menodix, drowglynn, lousyd, and faeries. Much of Surferio is underwater, submerged in the war between the Technological Superpower of Greeton and the Ancient Kingdom of Aquor. This did not permanently ruin the village however, as there are houses and walkways supported with wooden beams long enough to reach the submerged ground.
