Meeting, 5/5/14

So, this meeting we have a few surprises/special guests. Number one, IceQubed stopped by the server & the meeting. Glad to have him there - definitely helped out during some times of conflict in it & awesome to have him in the server at last! :). Hopefully he enjoyed his time here. As well as this, we had Sinz in the meeting today. Happy to say he should be joining us again shortly.

There was a big discussion about the detective's ability to order other players.. The eventual conclusion was that we will remove the rule for a week and see how the server is without it. If it does not work out as planned, we will re-add this rule with the twist that they can ONLY order testing. However, we will test it without the rule as a whole for a week or two.

Next, mic timers have been extended for now. Eventually, we plan for all staff to have no mic timer and users to have one which is extended from the current.

We also discussed tweaks for guns. I have a list of guns to look at and possibly change now, so I will do that shortly! I really appreciate these suggestions!

- Nic: Check out UZI. Nerf Browning Auto overall. Check out Remington Sniper and possibly fix accuracy errors. Test MP7 for damage.

I also outlined how staff works:

Nic: So, I want to clear up a few things first.
Nic: This is how the staff of the server work - this may be informative to you, you may already know it. Either way, I want to make it clear.
Nic: Slimi has complete dominance over everything, of course. What he says goes, I suppose, as no one can really stop him xD. Although, he listens to our and my opinions strongly when it comes to staff and other major decisions - essentially a democracy.
Nic: However, he leaves the staff to me, for the most part.

Nic: I've organized it as such, over time:
Nic: There is one head of staff. For the head of staff, there is three superadmins.
Nic: Each of the three superadmins can collectively agree at any time to an application.
Nic: If they all agree it should be accepted / they should be given a chance, it shall be so unless I COMPLETELY am opposed to this idea.
Nic: Otherwise, they get a trial.
Nic: The head of staff CAN technically choose staff on his own at any point in time without assurance, although I ask around and if too many people sya no I do not do that.

Nic: I am sad to say that I actually was opposed to Simulating being staff.

Nic: Enough people said he should be so I gave him a chance, and he's doing excellently.

Nic: There are roughly six admins.

Nic: Each of the admins reports to me / the superadmins every week or two on how the lower staff are doing.
Nic: This is highly considered in promotions or demotions.
Nic: The superadmins also report to me.
Nic: As for the moderators, they mostly handle RDM and the entire time they are moderators I am training them to be administraotrs.
