Just as from years ago, 4chan has become a primiere location for all things Halo Online related. Unfortunately, due to the zealous perrogative of site moderation, our threads were deleted en masse and the remaining were moved onto /vg/. We now reside within our newly formed "/hog/ - Halo Online General", where we stay up to date on all information and coordinate events and game sessions. For those of you new to both this Steam group and /hog/, welcome to the family! To those of you returning veterns, it's good to see you back!

A: Open dewrito_prefs.cfg and set Game.FPSLimiter to 0 and Game.MenuURL to desired browser.
Q: "I'm running Halo Online through Steam/Discord and am lagging. Why?"
A: Game overlays currently cause lag - disable your Steam and/or Discord in-game overlay.
Q: "How do I host a server?"
A: Make sure ports 11774-11776 are TCP & UDP enabled and that "Online" is enabled in Host Settings.

Main changes from last released 0.6 update:
>now automatically reloads maps/variants, so they can be added/removed without needing to restart server
>fixes steam/discord overlay making the game slow to a crawl
>fixes forge kill volume/garbage volume parameters not being set properly
>fixes forge map gravity parameters not being set properly
(connecting/hosting for people who don't have CryoEdition installed works fine btw)

If you have any problems, first install VS2015/VS2017 redistributables.

One thing to note is that some servers may have voice disabled by default similar to how some others also have sprint, assassinations, and/or dual wielding disabled by default.

Then either the other players don't know what the default voice button is or you have the wrong mic selected from the settings.
The speaker icon not showing up on your username from the player list is normal however, as long as your in-game HUD indicates a voice icon and activity when you try talking from the lower right of the screen you should be fine.
