Hi! Just wanted to give a quick update to the current staff since I've messed with it a lil bit.

I've decided the admins will just the future mods of the SB forums (Witt, Jen, and I). Right now our moderators will be Morducken and Ronin. Considering how many threads and members are in this group, we may be a bit shorthanded, so if you would like to apply for mod status, please let me know. I might end up making an actual application if we end up getting more members come SB's page.

Hey guys! Just found out I'm now the group owner, pretty cool. I decided to take a look at mods and admins, previously these statuses were handed to those exceptionally active here or on the forums, but that's gradually that has become less true and currently it's a little bit random. I want to reassign the mod and admin roles in a more traditional manner, meaning mods will have responsibilities again.

This isn't happening immediately. For the time being I have only demoted inactive users and promoted Witt to admin since he's a future Forum mod. If you have been mistaken for an inactive user (I'm not on all the threads), please let me know and I'll re-mod you for the time being. Also let me know if you're interested in being/remaining a moderator, admins will just be the forum mods (except for those who have stepped down unless they request otherwise) and anyone I trust a lot (this will probably be limited to one or maybe two people.)

With Tatters' permission, I have updated the rules. Here are the new inclusions:

Only one thread per topic
Do not create a thread on a topic if that topic already exists. Even if the thread is dead, you can revive it without stealing it. The exception to this rule is if an admin deems the current thread owner unable to properly run it and gets permission from the group owner.

Do not un-delete comments deleted by admins, or delete comments that don't break rules
For our modded users, you have to respect the decisions of the admins, and you have to follow the rules. If you don't like a comment, ignore it.

Keep arguments with mods and admins in DMs
If you feel you have been treated unfairly, do not protest publicly. You can DM other mods, admins, or the owner. Just keep this group uncluttered.

No hate threads
We have hype threads. The owners of those threads have the right to soft ban topics. If you can't vent your frustrations on that thread, don't go making any anti-hype thread, if you know what I mean. I'm sure you have people you can talk to.

Users who have violated these new rules before their inception will not be striked.

So, I just came on and saw it had been a year since I posted the first useless announcement, so today (well, 2 weeks ago to be fair) it is time to celebrate the 1-Year Anniversary of Useless Announcement!
