Here at Eventum, we are a close but warm and accepting community of friends always looking for new fun and friendly people. Most activity occurs in our steam chat, it is highly advised to hang around and chat in the chat (as you would expect). If no one is on just wait a bit, usually there is someone online after 4pm British Time. To represent our community, a lot of us put the [EVENT] tag before our usernames. It’s not required but helps people feel more together. Our members are primarily British but we have had members from all around the world, especially the USA. This is just one way in which our members are diverse and everyone is welcome regardless of their activity.

Events

Our group organises Events on our forums (link found to the right of this) in which we all gather together and play games. We have started to work on a Youtube channel as a project we all share to record our most fun moments and share our group to the world (or the 20 people who watch it, close enough).

Community

Members are encouraged to invite others they know to the group. As a first step to get involved you should check out if anyone in is in chat and if so introduce yourself there. Next make a forum account (it may take a little time to be approved) and see if there are events you may be interested in taking part in. Get used to the forums by creating an introduction topic in the Introduce Yourself section. It is worth checking on the forums regularly as that is where exciting events are posted that you should take advantage of, and is another way to discuss things with others.

Scheduling MP Games in Future - Starting with Civ 6

Hi everyone,

Given it has been over 2 years since I posted an announcement, I thought I would do one for the hell of it.

I'm thinking of trying to schedule more games, to help people to able to play with each other. Make Eventum eventy again!

Let me know what you think, should we try to schedule more stuff for future? If so, what games? Let me know.

In an effort to make stuff happen and follow the JFDI principle, a game has been organised for the following time:

Civ 6 at 6PM GMT, 11th Feb 2017

You can view the time of this event, and future events, under the upcomming events section of the Eventum steam group page (on the right side). Also, I'll remind people on Discord: https://discord.gg/67afZQV

The Civ game is only open to those in the GMT timezone, sorry. It's to make it possible to consider scheduling a continuation. Depending on how this event goes, we can consider opening it up more in future.

There arn't many slots free, so if you are interested and I havn't spoken to you already please let me know asap.

Join Eventum: New Developments

The time has come. Many dwarves have been saved due to your actions. It is time, time for Eventum to flourish, powered by the spirit of community. Recently people voted on what they wanted to happen within the group, and now the time has come to implement this. I originally planned to do this sooner however I delayed it due to a lot of people going away on holiday or otherwise being busy, but now that has calmed down the time has arrived.

Every day this week there will be new posts, polls or activities for people. At the end of this announcement I shall post the expected (aka don’t murder me if it changes for some reason) schedule for this week. Following weeks after this one there should be plenty more for people to all be doing together, as is being announced and organised this week.

You should come into the steam chat, as that is the best way to get involved with people as there is still a lot of a spur of the moment activities. Even if you’re the only one in chat, or people are playing a game you don’t want to, hang around and soon enough people will come in/change games. From experience, I can tell you from experience it is possible to have fun with friends even if you playing different games just by joking and socialising.

Tell your friends, spread the word and bring everyone together in the spirit of a strong community. Exciting times lies ahead of us all, and it’s up to you to grasp it.

Sign up for a new D&D campaign “Exile to the Forsaken Lands”! There have been plenty of changes to improve the pace as well as ensure people who can't commit 4 hours every week can still take part and adventure with Eventum.
