Today was not an easy day, let me tell you what. While our initial fear was that the Swamp Biome was going partially demolish our main base, it was the Snow Biome that ended up throwing the wrench in the works. All of our exclusively aquatic dinosaurs were very suddenly in great peril, and it took some pretty freaking amazing teamwork to save all of them. Thank you guys and high five, you know who you are.

Dinosaurs that could be carried were relocated to our new beach location at 60,15 on the giant sand-bar/peninsula to the south west. Larger dinosaurs were brought to Dodo HQ on the Cliffs of Dodover above Detroit, you can store them there until you're able to get your feet back under you.

The entire large 'Rock Peninsula' on which we'd based our 'Beginning Zone' was taken over by the Winter Biome. At one point BORIS the Bronto was employed to hold off 22 individual Argentavis, as well as a sprinkling of saber cats, scorpions, and a carno as they tried to destroy our Itchies. Even just managing to keep the bad things away from our pets was becoming a full time job, and a snap decision was made to move our 'Beginning Area' south, to a more temperate and less hateful climate.

The Dodo beachfront property has a few things in it to help you get started and can act as a temporary holding pattern until you're able to set yourself up again, hopefully somewhere nearby. The area is right across the bay from West 3 spawn point, and has a pretty sturdy supply of all the basics, and boy oh boy do we need the basics .

We could some help in the next few days, and anybody can do these things. We need Stone, Wood, and Thatch by the droves. Shoving these on BORIS or in the new Dodo Beachfront would help us tremendously as we try to rebuild what we had, which was a safe home for our aqua-monsters.
We are still continuing with our efforts to make our base the most metal thing on the island starting this next weekend. We have myriads of metal and now need Keretin/Chiten like crazy. We're also looking for someone to go out and tame a couple of the new toad mounts, or 3 or 4 Diarwolves, OR a mammoth. Or even if someone would finish the roof on the new beachfront house, that'd be great.

Because of the recent arrival of the Snow Biome our beach base is moving to a more tropical climate.


On the small sandbar in the south west, right by West 3 Respawn you will now find our exclusively aquatic animals as well as a basic shelter.

I'm back, bitches.

Hard rock has sheltered us for as long as it has been acceptable, The Lord of Chord however does not smile upon those who do not continuously push it to the next level. That, my darlings, my dearest, my dodos, is why we are going metal.

That and everyone's complaining about not having anything to do.

Starting in October we'll be shreading the base and rebuilding the poor girl from the ground up with a more space conscious and ergonomic design in mind. Possibly with elevators, not going to lie though it'll probably be ramps. We need your feedback to get this thing perfect, we're going for a design with something for everybody, so everybody plays a part.

That being said the 1,800 metal I stripped from Mount Metal has been used in my absense, that is cool, but we're going to need a metric ton if we're to upgrade the base in a timely fashion. Mt.Metal has been upgraded, there is running water, and a handy carry-companion. Michalangelo has been buffed to carry 600lbs. There is no excuse to not let lose upon the riches to be had there atop the volcano.

Go forth my minions! Post thyne ideas, desires, plans in the comments, and if you can not gather from the bossom of Mt.Metal then please do what you can to help maintain the bases, or gather all of the chiten/keretin ever.

Leading up to October 1st, our demolition date, I will be erecting temporary storage and moving our acumulated goods from the base to this facility. If you'd like to help please do not just shove things everywhere, and look for the named boxes.

Hail fellow Dodos!

First of all, thank you for the well wishes for Nana Dodo, she is recovering slowly but steadily, though it looks like I'll be staying up there another month and a half or so with occasional visits to the internet land where and when I can get them. A question that has been raised is whether or not I will take a 'second in dodomand' and the answer is 'not while we're so sparse'. If tribe activity picks up and secondary leadership is needed then yes, I will appoint someone.

Secondly, it seems some shenannigans have gone on while I was away! Please, PLEASE, please read the rules if you haven't already, and if you have well... shame on you :P

I'd like to use this announcement as an open discussion involving the movement of Dodos from the Ashes HQ. Several have voicalised that they're nervous about Dodo HQ being so close to the thunder dome, and so dependant on travel to get resources. If you're interested in moving, or setting up an official tertiary base for Dodo use please keep an eye out for prime spots taking into consideration 1) Water/resources 2) Defendability 3)Metal and/or ocean access and 4) is it big enough to store our dinosaurs? Ideally we're looking for our new base to meet 3/4 the above listed criteria.

Found someplace already? Great! Post the coordinates and why you think it's ideal here and we'll take a look at it when time permits.

Finally, With the 'monster dome' nearing it's completion soon the gates will open and PVPers will come a'flooding in. Our beach-base has already had it's doors ripped off by a wandering newcomer and raided for it's resources. I don't think I need to tell you to be careful when approaching folks who aren't in our tribe.

I'm sorry for my extended absence, on Thursday my grandmother fell fracturing her hip, and on Friday she was discharged from the hospital. I've since been live-in-care for her and there's no internet at her house. I've been trying to trickle down to my own place here and there, however, lack the time to commit to any sort of gaming. Our goal is to get my grandmother situated so she can care for herself which may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, so all I can say is 'see you when I see you and behave till then.'
