This coming Saturday (29 June 2019) at 2pm Eastern time (New York time) DS/T and Diverse will jointly be hosting a Water balloon Fight!

How it works:
Simple, this is a fight to the death! There will be a prebuilt arena, and you make and throw water balloons at each other. The last one alive wins.

What you will be given inside the arena:
Ponds, Ice, Pickaxes, Mosquito Sacks, Science Machine

What will happen at the start:
- We will put up a server called Water balloon fight!
- 5 minutes before the event starts we will post an announcement with the password for the server and you can all join – first come first serve
- Don’t spawn in until we tell you to, otherwise you will just lose hunger
- Once we tell you to spawn in we will do 2 things – first drop all your items (you aren’t allowed to use any of your characters items) and second we will give each of you one bundling wrap containing your food
- Your food bundle will contain sufficient food to assist with hunger but it will not be an unlimited supply. Also, you do not know what type of food we will be giving you. Bear this in mind when choosing your character.
- Once everyone has their bundling wrap, we will use the gather command to transport you all to the arena.... the minute you are in the arena the fight is on and you can start fighting straight away

Rules:
- No breaking any walls or structures is allowed
- No team work is allowed, this is an individual player event
- No burning and no griefing of any kind except throwing water balloons is allowed
- You are not allowed to use any of the items that any character comes with. You will be required to drop all character items before starting
- You must attempt to fight, if you simply run away you may be disqualified
- If we feel that you are not dying fast enough we can and will do things to make it harder for you... these include us possibly making the arena smaller, changing seasons etc

Get your pitchforks ready, we're doing a 24-hour art marathon, in the medium of turf!

Today we're going to put up a limited-time server, where we'll regularly spawn in all kinds of turf for you to work with. The world is your canvas! You could make pixel art, design the mega-base of your dreams, or whatever else you can think up. You could even just help dig up lots of natural turf to make a nice open canvas for others. Feel free to work alone or with friends. Just don't starve, have fun, and help make some great creations!

This event is just for fun, so there won't be prizes. But we will share all the art on Discord, so at least you can show off.

Time: from 2pm eastern time (New York time) to June 22nd to 2pm eastern time (New York time) June 23rd

World features:

-Endless server
-Autumn only
-No caves
-Piles of turf will be regularly spawned throughout the world. Go exploring and see what you find!
-Other goodies will be spawned throughout the world as well.

Rules:

-Don't dig up or otherwise destroy anyone else's work, or use or destroy resources that they've set aside.
-Don't interfere with anyone else's work. If someone stakes out a claim to a reasonable amount of space on the map (by putting down signs or outlining an area they want to build in), don't start building there before they get a chance.
-Don't be greedy about how much space you claim. Claim only what you need and be as cooperative as you can. Also, you have to actually find a location to claim it.
-Special landmarks (like PK and the oasis) may be in high demand. You or your team don't get to claim multiple special landmarks.
-Server space is limited, so don't stay too long on the server if you don't intend to help create.
-No wasting (e.g. burning) the turf provided for the event.
-None of your creations can be offensive or NSFW. If you're unsure, it's probably not ok. If you're still unsure, ask an admin.
