The official steam group of the casual competitive group Cross-Pond Mediocrity.

This group serves to join people together for one common purpose- making games fun.

Casual Competitive means we compete with others and sometimes each other, but we don't let it become our lives.



Our name originates first from when Milo was putting together a competitive team for the Team Fortress 2 Highlander Open, put on by ETF2L(The European Team Fortress 2 League).

Because all of us are in the US, Milo decided to make reference to "The Pond," an informal term used to refer to the Atlantic Ocean, specifically when referring to it as a space between countries on opposite sides of it. This reference became the first half of the name, Cross-Pond.

The second half was a bit of self-deprecation, as Milo realized that he was nowhere near as good as many other people who would be competing. This led to the usage of "Mediocrity" in the name.

As we've moved to other leagues and other games, we now use the name to refer to the fact that all the best players are in Europe, or at least not in North America. Thus, we've stuck with the name.
