Hello new group! I have question for this group.
Ok, i was invited to this group and am a big sims fan. Unfortanetly, i own sims games on origin and was wondering if there is some way i can take screenshots of them on there and put on here on steam? The only way i know how to do this is with artwork, and that method does not work all the time. Anyways, hello all and happy simming!

Welcome to the group, and here is a guide explaining how I post sims 4 pictures as sims 3 screenshots on steam... it works for all games http://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=742073561

thanks.. i usually use print screen method for non-steam games, but it does not always work for all games. Thanks for the guide!

No problem... you can replace any screenshot taken on screen with pretty much any image you want!

It is meant for rpg maker games though, not non-steam games.

I use that a lot when making backgrounds for my Steam profile.

to OP: If you add a game as a non-Steam game to you Steam library, I think you can take screenshots normally with F12. I know I could with Dragon Age: Origins, which is an Origin game.

Sadly I don't own Sims 4, so I cannot try myself. I heard, though, that it might work if you add Origin itself as a non-Steam application and launch Sims 4 from there.

So let me understand this..instead of using the exe of the game and putting it into steam, i just put Origin into it? I read somewhere where you need to put the exe of the game as a non-steam game to upload screenshots, but it did not work.

I don't know if it actually works or how to exactly do it, but I assume it's just like adding any other game to Steam but instead of the game exe you choose the Origin exe.

Might be worth trying to disable the Origin overlay as well, as it might conflict with the Steam one.

Good idea about steam overlay and origin overlay not getting along with each other. I had to do this with uplay overlay because when i was taking pictures of ANNO 2270 it actually prevented me from taking screenshots. Ill try those later. Thanks for the suggestions.

Ok. I turned off Origin overlay and added it as a non-steam game in my library. I will shortly test to see if i can take screenshots with it on origin.
