Sega files suit against GearBox

Gearbox Software studio head Randy Pitchford did "whatever the fuck he likes" when it came to the marketing and promotion of Aliens: Colonial Marines, according to documents filed this week in the class-action lawsuit claiming the game was falsely advertised at trade shows.

The Sept. 2 filing by Sega of America details the publisher's take on why Gearbox is just as culpable in the case as Sega. The company's attorney writes that despite Gearbox's claims that they weren't involved in marketing, Gearbox participated equally, sometimes overstepping bounds or keeping Sega in the dark about promotional decisions.

Sega agrees to settle Class action lawsuit, GBX is total dick about it.

If you have not gotten a refund, it appears to be around the corner, note in the article, that GearBox will not relent. If you read the article, the end result if GBX plays ball or is forced to play ball is that anyone who bought the game on or before it's release date will have a 3 question form to fill out and qualify for a refund.

My name is General Taskeen. And I was burned by Gearbox. I will tell everyone that there is hope.

I bought my game through Gamestop, which registered to Steam. I received a FULL refund 5 days after the game's release.

Hi, i'm a survivor of A:CM (pre-ordered this game, as a die hard Alien fan, and finished it, hoping that there would be something good...). I don't think i can describe here everything i feel and think about this game and people who made this game for profit, i'm not an emotional person, okay, but now i think i might need to say something, cause, you know, it's not good for you to keep the pain inside... So yeah, never forget 2-12-2013, the day when one great saga was ruptued by greedy bastards. Now i think my mission is to spread the word, to prevent other true Alien fans like us from buying this game.
P.S. I saw people who liked A:CM...
