Hello all!

Welcome to the Avalon Server. For those who are new here, feel free to visit our pinned Discussions titled "Detailed Server Info" to see what we are about and full information on our servers and history. In summary, we are a very laid back, easy-going community with the mindset of creating an environment for people to relax and have fun together in a PvE progression environment. As we do not tolerate toxic, negative, or trolling behavior here (such demonstrators are banned), our community is made up of helpful individuals who do not hesitate to go out of their way for one another. We hope to have you join us!

For those on our server already, welcome to group! Feel free to post any server concerns and questions here if you do not wish to message an admin directly. If you have an idea that you wish for either server, or even a random thought of the day you'd wish to share, it is all welcome here!

We have opened up a second server that is PvP based. It is on the Ragnarok map and contains very few mods. Info is as follows:

[IMPORTANT] Server Changed IP Address/Lag Fixed!

Hello Everyone!

Many are aware of this already (especially those active in Discord), however there are players coming to me asking where the server went over the last few days still.

We very recently changed the server to a new high performance machine as one of the steps taken to eliminate the lag felt about a week ago. This was successful and we are lag free once again!

This change means that the server IP is now different, and you perhaps may not see the server under your survivor anymore. It is still there, with all the same saved data. Please see the Steam Overview page for IP information. A simple, easy way to make sure you connect properly is this:

  • Click on "View" in the steam menu bar. Click "Servers". In the new window, click on the "Favorites" tab. In the bottom right corner of the server window, click "Add a Server". Paste 160.202.166.26:22175 into the box and click "Add this address to favorites".

    Launch ARK and the server will show up in the browser under your favorites.

Okay guys, the lag issues have been resolved! We moved the server onto a new machine last night, and players reported being lag-free again. I also did some major work with the configuation files with dino spawns to optimize certain dino spawns. Turret damage has been increased to help with base defense.

I give up i have unsubed and whiped all folders and re subed and still get mod map download fail. i have a 2TB HD so room is not the issiue

@Avendale [PART 2] If its failing to download despite having the storage room (its a 3.1 GB download roughly), then I'd treat it like a corrupted mod you need to uninstall and reinstall fresh. I also have instructions for doing this correctly pinned under discussions. It may have only partially downloaded, then somehow got corrupted, which would end all progress until the corrupted file is removed. Once its re-downloaded, be sure to allow the game to finish installing mods before clicking to join server, this isnt needed but helps a lot. You can see the progress by the bottom right side white text. Let me know if these things dont work. Good luck!

@Avendale [PART 1] Have you tried to pre-download the map before clicking to join the server by chance? In the discussions tab above I have a pinned topic which contains the mod collection we have currently. The second mod is the map, Crystal Isles. Try individually subbing to it, and watch your downloads. I'm curious to see maybe if your storage is full up, or if its simply failing to download that.
