A S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 review, "Entered underground, fought mutant rats, almost got mugged by gopniks, exited underground, drank vodka to cleanse my organism, got overcharged by a local trader, almost got mugged again. After all that I got back home and played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, it was good! Living in NYC is tough."

Tiny&Purple, did you try closing out completely? Lynda said to shut down Steam client and start it back up, that this usually fixes a lot of issues. This did work for me. .. at least as far as I can tell so far.

an update for me. announcements seem to work, but I only get notified for the last message in any discussion as unread. a bit frustrating, as I don't know up to which point I read yesterday.
