Formed in August 1943, the 45 Commandos played a critical part in World War 2, including D-Day landings in Normandy, the push through Holland and crossing s of the Rhine, Weser and Elbe rivers. In 1982, the unit participated in Operation Corporate, Falkland Islands and they successfully defeated Argentine forces in the crucial battle for Two Sisters. The Royal Marines training regimen is one of, if not the, toughest military selection process in the world. Before the 32-week recruit training takes place, those hoping to join the Royal Marines must undergo a gruelling initial selection process.

We are a British unit based on the 45 Commando Royal Marines for the popular game ArmA III, our goal is to create a realistic and immersive environment, by executing real world structure and training of The Royal Navy. The 45 Commando (pronounced 'Four Five Commando') is an amphibious commando unit within 3 Commando Brigade. As we strive for a realistic scenery, without the needless realism which can be a burden for people for example Yes Sire, No Sir. Our new members are required to complete the phase 1 training which is divided into 3 stages for week days at 1900 hours GMT. We officer Pre-Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) courses for those wanting to become a NCO within the 45 Commandos which is compulsory to become a IC and 2nd IC within a section.
