The 1st Battalion 9th Marines is a highly disciplined, well trained, and motivated REALISM unit that strives for nothing short of excellence. Our unit prides itself on the most extreme level of realism in order to teach our members about the infantry culture, tactics, and lessons about life. Our leadership is made up of military veterans from around the world and they strive to multiply themselves through others. Only join this unit if you are going to take it seriously. There are many units out there who are mediocre in nature so don't waste your time. We only accept individuals who meet the following requirements:

-Must be 18 years of age or older with few exceptions.
-Must maintain a commendable level of activity in the unit to avoid discharge.
-Must attend entry-level training within 1 week of joining.
-Must be willing and able to attend the entirety of unit activities without leaving abruptly (unless it's an emergency.)
-Must be mature and willing to learn. This rule is important to us because you will be expected to learn and practice real-world Marine Infantry skills.
-Must have a Microphone.
-Must speak clear English.
-Must not be in another unit. We do not allow "double clanning."
-Must be able to smoothly run ARMA 3. We don't have time to deal with your personal tech issues.
