It was an issue a year ago.
It was an issue two years ago.
It was even an issue five years ago.
It has been an issue since the TFO was introduced. Wouldn't it be great if games met a bare minimum expectation of working?
Well now we also don't really have much in the way of developers at the moment. Just a skeleton crew and dead silence from DECA to my knowledge.
its still amazing that they cannot get some dev to simply move spawnpoints away from clippable objects like walls here, or certain asteroids in delta flight.
eh whatever, dont expect much anymore.
If Lt. VanDerveer somehow dies before you reach the final boss he'll stop moving and you'll just have to deal with the leaver's penalty.
Swarm isn't much better either, sometimes the Hur'q ships that show up are untargettable and don't show up on the map so you have to find them, get close and select them manually ("tabbing" won't work in that situation) and there was this one time when they just didn't show up at all.
I've only encountered it about 4 times in my life, and I always pick that mission during its events. Which isn't to say it isn't frustrating when it happens, but no way is it "50% of the time." It's more reliable than the damned tutorial missions at least. Besides, a bug-free version of "Bug Hunt" would just be "Hunt."
Depends on the missions. "Swarm" is braindead dull, whereas Bug Hunt is braindead fun. Any space mission that can be AFK'd for long stretches by pink jellyfish bubbles is garbage. I once got 3 Cnidarians in the same Swarm TFO, and the captains were so stupid and/or lazy that they couldn't even be bothered to afk on 3 different lanes. I'm so done with crap like this and especially Defense of Starbase One.
I get the frustration, but just re-queue. If it's happening to you alot either there's another problem at play or RNGeezus just woke up one day and said eff you, personally.
No, you can count on one hand the number of times you decided to remember it. I doubt you started keeping an exact tally in 2014. The reports of the issue stretching over multiple years didn't spring out of thin air. There's no excuse for an active product that is still taking people's money to have issues like this for literal years, and "just try again and cross your fingers" is a clown's excuse.
