Hi, I can't declare war on them as they don't appear in the diplomacy menu. I have taken over all of the Dutch Indies so what gives? I am sure I am missing something. Thanks!

My veteran German DD started its turn with 6-7 supply and surrounded by Allied ships, mostly destroyers. I initiated combat against an adjacent USA DD and inflicted 1 damage while taking none. Then I ordered it to sail through the blockade to a distant hex adjacent to an Italian carrier and battleship. I'm considering to buy this, but I'd like to know how multiplayer plays. Is it HotSeat & PBEm only or is there a way to play online or over LAN? If the latter, can you play using simultaneous turns to cut down on waiting?
