You won't find it, because it does not appear in the wild.
In order to start crafting, you've got to finish Mr. Jello's quest, which will award you with the Recycling Bin. It will allow you to turn trash into basic materials like wood, scrap and ceramic. Those materials can also be bought directly from the clown, but it's rather easy to find them in trash piles and contariers.
After you've gathered eungh materials, you will have to build an Aluminum Smelter, which turns scrap into aluminum and is fueled by wood. Once you have at least two ingots, you will be able to approach the Workbench and use it to make Aluminum Sheets.
Note: If you're planning to gather ceramic by yourself, you will need to upgrade the Shuriken Coop in your base. This will allow your pigeons to blow up the locks on the yellow trash containers, which contain sinks, toilets and toilet seats, which then can be turned into the desired material.
The Aluminum Smelter. Put wood and scrap into it and you will get a Aluminum bar, aka the ingot I mentioned.
Here, have some points for having nerves of steel
