Anyone know how to obtain the achievement Penguin!

If you run out of ammo, there's nothing else that can be done but wait for death. Isn't there a way to get more ammo during the final boss? It seems the best way to prepare is to stock up on ammo on the surface...but during the fight, if you run out of ammo, you're screwed....
