Puzzle bugged?
Path of the living:- Find a way to open the door.

You simply have to match the symbols from both doors, but for some reason the left pillar mechanism doesn't rotate when you interact with it to match the 3rd symbol. Or am i doing something wrong?

Update:

Ok, after some youtubing i was doing everything as i should have been. There is a glitch that stops the left mechanism from rotating the symbols. I even used a previous save, same thing. So now i cannot progress the story mode due to this. Awesome.

Try verifying the game's files through Steam as you may be missing something.

Yeah that was my next idea, sadly it didn't help. I'll do some testing and see if i can resolve this.

Update: Solved

Turns out turning off DX12 solved it. So the problem lies with DX12 somehow. Interesting....

Had the same problem. I solved it by lowering down FPS to half (70). It does't work at 100+ fps for some reason. One wierd bug for sure

I am also having this problem. Turned off DX12 - still not working
The pillar doesn't rotate and therefore the bridge doesn't come up. This is quite significant as I can't progress at all.
Any other advice?

Make sure your exiting the game for DX12 being disabled to take effect.

I had this issue as well. What I did to progress was save the game after the bug, get out of the game to the main screen and press continue. I had to kill again the creatures and do the puzzle again, but now it wasn´t glitched and was able to continue. (I noticed that what had bugged the game was one of the creatures that had landed on the stuck pillar and with the reload of the game and killing them again the bug was gone)

That has something to do with physics programming-wise. Running at high frame rate causes the object to be stuck while turning the crank. Thus, you may have to lower down frame rate between 60-120fps to solve tPath of the Living Puzzle via MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner Statistics Server. Yes, you can solve the puzzle on DirectX 12 at lower frame rate.

Okay what worked for one streamer I saw was he limited his FPS to 60, turned off dx12, cranked all settings to minimal AND set it to windowed mode. Nothing else worked till he changed to windowed mode. If the above methods don't work for you, try that. Get through this puzzle, then change things back and pray they work.

Either way there needs to be a patch to FIX the DX12 bugs because they're SPECIFICALLY related to DX12, and it's infuriating.

Sorry for necroing. Had an exact same issue here, and it completely resolved by turning on the VSync in Display & Graphics section. Hope it helps \o/

I'm having this issue at the ps4 version, playing it on ps5. I deleted the game.
