A person cannot be impartial and keep abreast of everything that happens to make an adequate decision.
But being serious.. I have 650 hrs in the game and I was tked maybe 20 times or something usually by granades. Friendly fire is important part of the game.
I agree with this when everyone on the team is morally stable. But since not everyone can boast of such moral quality, on my servers (not Hell let Loose) I turn on mirror damage.
Because when a teamkiller damages a member of his team, he himself dies from it.
If a player still succeeds in killing a player of his team twice in 1 hour, for example with a grenade, he gets a ban for 1 hour.
And it works!
so you spawn in, try to throw a grenade, get killed and drop your grenade... enjoy your hour ban.
so you're commander and you tell SL's "bombing run inbound, warn your blueberries" but they still rush the point and get vaporized... enjoy your hour ban.
so you're in a tank and fire a shell towards an enemy tank, but it hits an object that didn't render at your range; killing a teammate.... enjoy your hour ban.
Bad idea.
Your answer is very primitive. You cannot apply a spoon for anything else. I during the military service I had the opportunity to peel potatoes with a spoon by sharpening the handle of a spoon on a stone. We had no knives.
If a player kills a member of his team with a grenade after death, he is not punished.
Killed players can choose to "forgive" or "punish" the commander. If the "punish" chosen more than a certain number, the commander will be demoted to an ordinary player.
Based on my 13 years of experience in Battlefield 2, I can’t remember that the commander intentionally killed his fighters with artillery. And this is perhaps the only role in Battlefield 2 that was not punishable for an artillery strike on his fighters.
This is a deserved ban. Before the fire, we look at the map and request by radio! Not sure don't fire!
The punishment must be hard, as in life!
...doesn't render means doesn't render... if its through the tank scope, binos or whatever. If you can't see it, you don't know you're going to hit it.. and your suggestions of requesting shot-correction from allies on the front is a pipe dream best saved for clan matches with actual team play, because blueberries in a public server are probably just going to ignore you, but still hit "punish" after you accidentally turn them into red mist.
There's a HUGE difference between "how it should be" and "how it is" regarding policing trolls/intentional TKers in online gaming. Currently, it is a bit lacking, but a knee-jerk reaction to just ban TKers seems like a very petty and foolish response to an event that occurs very frequently.
A kick from the server, now, is really useless, because the kicked player also goes back to this server again and begins to take revenge even more.
