HOW DO YOU KICK IN THE HALF RATS: PARASOMNIA MOD?

For some reason every time I try to launch the mod I get an error saying: could not load library /steamapps/common/Half-Rats - Parasomnia/hrp/cl_dlls/client.so I tried switching this file from the one from my original half life, I thought it worked but when I started a map it crashed immediatly. Im trying to play this on my crappy linux notebook (chromebook running crouton) while im away from my windows desktop. Its running xfce4. I finished tutorial and entered in the house. It s too dark and imposible to play, it crashes when i try to make any change in video options. I couldnt play any further than the second floor in the house. How do i fix that?
