This game is good on its own, and massively expanded with Roguetech or Battletech 3062 mods.

Ultimately, the game experience probably appeals to someone else more than me.

The margins of profit on a win feel so slim that a single loss can knock you back, what feels like, thirty or more fights. And consequently you have to play so conservatively and so carefully that you end up making an already plodding game even more plodding.

I enjoyed the rompy stompy shooty tooties just fine, but ultimately, a few moments bad luck can be so punishing to the overall fun of the game that I just can't give this game a thumbs up.

Yeah, hardcore simulationists will probably love it, and good on them.

But I just find this game requires me to be so conservative and careful that I can't have *fun*.
