[Special K] Monster Hunter: World - Dead Mod
https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2028860053

I'm done here, sorry :(

Regarding 2/5/20 Patch
Capcom has gone insane with their anti-tamper, rather than remove it they are applying it earlier and to a more broad coverage of executable code (including third-party DLLs). This has massive implications for stability and will prevent normal users not even modifying the game from running the game (as seen in the primary forums).

Tl;Dr:

To continue using Special K, apply the following changes to dxgi.ini
      [Steam.Log] Silent=true

Regarding 1/26/20 Patch
Capcom has removed the active CRC scanning threads on 1/26/20, old anti-tamper code is now at play, which introduces the same stability problems I have been warning Capcom about since the game launched. I've watched that code self-destruct on Ansel's whitelist check DLL numerous times and that code needs to be removed.
Please do not give Capcom a free pass to stop where they did, your CPU load may have gone down, but there is still something truly awful under the hood that consumers need to complain about until gone.

Introduction
This is what is left of the original HDR mod for MH:W, HDR is officially supported now and the more important functionality offered by the mod is improved framepacing and memory scan (anti-tamper/anti-cheat related) elimination for better performance.

    Current Features:
    • Eliminates 24-thread CRC scanning performance sink
    • Restrict job threads to a manageable number (physical or logical cores)
    D3D11
    • HUDless screenshots (Broken 2/5/20)
    • Texture/button mods
    • Pre-HUD ReShade
    D3D12
    NOTE:
Special K's UI is not functional in D3D12 mode, but the mod does still work and manual edits to the ini file allow tweaking stuff.

    HDR Display Owners:
A work-in-progress HDR FAQ is available here.

Non-HDR Display Owners -- No More Washed out Colors:

Download and Install
  1. Grab this archive (if using D3D11)[drive.google.com] or this archive (if using D3D12)[drive.google.com] from Google Drive.
  2. Extract it to your game's install directory (steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World)

Configuration
Press Ctrl + Shift + Backspace to open Special K's config menu.

HUDless screenshots can be configured under the Steam Enhancements / Screenshots tab

Custom ReShade
Follow the normal Download and Install procedure, using this archive[github.com] instead.

The shipping preset is configured to test pre-HUD shading and nothing else, you can go into the ReShade directory and fiddle with stuff to your content. You DEFINITELY do not want it the way it's setup out-of-the-box :P

Troubleshooting
If the mod does not work, third-party software (especially FRAPS!), anti-virus software or Windows 7 is usually to blame.
Windows 7 has a half-dozen optional updates that you need to install to use modern software such as mine; it's easier just to upgrade to Windows 10 :P
If after closing third-party software the game still does not start, please paste logs/dxgi.log, logs/modules.log and logs/game_output.log to pastebin.com and provide a link in a post.

Misc. Notes
Special K has a feature now that can spoof your CPU core count, causing certain game mechanics to scale back the number of threads they try to get cooperating simultaneously. You may be able to reduce periodic hitching issus by engaging this feature.

The CPU core count spoof option is under the Framerate Limiter / Advanced tab.

Advanced CPU Performance Monitoring
You can change your powerscheme for this game by clicking the active scheme on the CPU widget

Thanks so much! Looking forward to another masterpiece!

Right lmao, the Hex code change works yet crashes at before main menu, I thought it wes this type of nonsesne you listed : I was trying to make 24:10 or 3840x1600 work lmao..

"I do not know if this is a part of Denuvo that has never been used before or if it's actually a trumped up ad-hoc solution from people who have no business imposing restrictions on the consumer."

I'll stay subbed here and be on the look out for what haps, cheers .

Which is funny, Sword Art Online : Fatal Bullet, EAC Picked up and threw me two errors when I tweaked the 16:9 Hex code to the 24:10 one on the main .exe file in the Win64 folder, IT LET ME PLAY LMAO . + It worked natively .

Yeah, that is precisely the problem I am discussing. It valdates the executable code as well as SteamAPI code up until the checking DLC menu. Once you get past that stage, you can (mostly) begin to modify executable memory.

Periodically it does re-validate steam_api64.dll though, but I may be the only person on the planet who modifies that anyway :P Short of pirates trying to get free DLC anyway.

Ah, happy to have the conformation by the man himself, I do have high hopes, I want you to beat them, I want to beat them, we want to beat them, this cannot stand, kinda funny, don't you think, when they almost had a workshop for mods for this title of theirs, yet they removed it, lmao...

Glad you're on it. I know what you said in the other thread, but still, I hope you can do something. I don';t have faith in Capcom being speedy at all...and a lot of their ports the last few years have never been fixed / patched, so yeah.

https://www.vg247.com/2018/01/11/monster-hunter-world-pc-was-delayed-because-its-the-teams-first-pc-game-and-wanted-to-get-it-right/

Also not sure if you saw this man. Explains a lot.

You shouldn't have faith at all in Crapcom, I don't even use that C word smh, listen, I said it and Kai has proven my thoughts, they blocked 24:10 and other stuff with their Anti-Mod BS .

Would this possibly fix my cpu usage going down when i enter Elder's recess causing my game to stutter or is this purely visual?
Nicholas Steel 11 Aug, 2018 @ 8:32pm
What are the issues with Fullscreen Exclusive that the game engine currently has? ie: please elaborate.

I had to use Windowed mode in 2560x1600 and use the Borderless Gaming app to have 2560x1600 to wrap correctly . I think that might be it, idk..

I highly doubt it, I haven't done any actual performance work yet :) I just got thoroughly tired of the game crashing every time I atl-tabbed, so put together settings to maximize performance in windowed mode.

The ReShade version of this mod ships pre-configured to run efficiently in windowed mode. If you're not experience crashes every time you alt-tab, then I haven't really addressed any of the game's problems for you yet :)

The anti-mod stuff also wouldn't be the cause of performance issues, because it's mostly finished by the time the DLC check is over. Once in a while SteamAPI is re-validated and the game will crash itself if it doesn't like what it sees, but evven that's not a performance problem.

Same as Dragon's Dogma. You have a very high chance of getting a "D3D9 Operation Failed" error when you alt-tab, only difference is this time the broken engine is broken in D3D11 :P Same problem, different API.

Let me chime in here too, my 7820X with disabled HyperThreading, was using 71% usage in the bit after the boat crashes with the dragons and the fire-rock giant thingy, and about 40-50 in the hub .

I am not buying from Capcom, ever again . tbh . & I hope this is the last time we have to deal with this Anti-Mod BS . Smh lol.

Somehow capcom got me to hate a game I loved playing on PS4 Pro. Welp I guess this is a sign I should play something else.

Btw Kaldaien, How did you come to understand all of this computer science stuff? School?

This has fixed both the crashing and stuttering issues I had with borderless window when alt-tabbing back in, and the pre-HUD ReShade is a God-send since the AA in this game is quite poor and damn near needs ReShade.

Also, as a 21:9 user, wanted to say thanks in advance for any work you do. I've been trying since launch with my limited knowledge and got no where. Though that anti-mod BS explains a lot. Jesus H. Chuffing Christ CAPCOM...
