It’s worse without limiting your fps with your graphics card dashboard your game will melt your graphics card because the in game fps has no limit and vsync doesn’t work. The only thing gameplay wise sims4 does arguably better is the multitasking and making mods is a lot easier whatever you decide happy simming

It's blown out of proportion. Just watch or read guides about how to get the game up and running. More or less, they'll tell you to do the following:

1. Download GPU Sims 3 Support Mod from Nexus Mods
2. Limit your GPU's FPS to 60
3. Make sure to upgrade your graphics driver
4. Play in borderless window mode

There's other stuff, but it's nothing too complicated.
