The game is great, with a large open world and an easy to understand progression, basing missions on certain divisions of the cartel. I really love the fact that (most) missions can be approached in any way, such as sneaking through a base or just launching a full-out assault. The Unidad level system works very well, penalizing assault on Unidad bases, and has made for some intense moments of gameplay. I have only played singleplayer, and the banter and comments from the AI teammates is a great addition. The story is pretty good, there are definitely some questionable moments but it comes together well. I love the fact that there is a clear objective in the story – El Sueño, which is a clear contrast to Breakpoint where there isn’t a clear villain. The map is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend setting the difficulty to at the very least Advanced – I chose Regular for my first few missions, before switching, and the game definitely was more enjoyable at this higher level.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking my time with this game, collecting everything I could find and exploring every corner of its vast open world. The game-play is smooth, providing an immersive shooter experience that feels satisfying and fluid.

What sets "Wildlands" apart is the freedom it offers. With mods, the game can be transformed into a first-person open-world sandbox, giving players countless options to tackle the buchons. The story also impressed me, with each take-down making the narrative more compelling. The cameos from the "Rainbow Six" team and the legendary Sam Fisher were a delightful surprise, and I enjoyed the short missions featuring these iconic characters.

The environment is beautifully crafted, with each region boasting its own unique flavor. Exploring the different areas was a joy, as the diverse landscapes added depth to the open-world experience.

However, the game isn't without its flaws. The crates, a common annoyance in modern Ubisoft games, were a bit of a frustration. Additionally, having to play on harder difficulties to unlock certain skins and weapons felt unnecessary, though the base game does provide a good variety of weapons.

Overall, "Ghost Recon® Wildlands" is a standout title with a well-crafted world and engaging game-play. Despite a few gripes, it's a game that offers plenty of fun and tactical excitement.
