What are the best map (and NATO counter) mods that don't alter the stock gameplay? I don't find the lock of the stock map very appealing. Thanks!

Is there a map somewhere that has both rail lines and roads ?

At the beginning of the game you have to make serious decisions. But when I want to open the stats to see what to do, the screen rejects this decision and it disappears. I tried to make at least a "print screen", but even after pressing it, the screen again the description and the task disappear and I don't know where it is ?...

So basically if some kind soul could explain exactly how it works? Consumption, the amount units request, pretty much everything in as much detail as possible. No 2 sentance vague answers please. I know it's a long shot I'll get anyone to explain it, but had to try. Thanks in advance....
