How the ♥♥♥♥ are you supposed to deal with "friendlies". (WARNING: Salt incoming) (UPDATE: Please read the edit below!)
I hate to say this to a community that sometimes has their truces, but I have a BURNING hatred towards these so-called "Friendlies". So forgive me for any salt I might throw out here on this post, because it's just not the usual me.

But God FORBID I see one of ANY kind of "friendly" that I might happen to encounter on community servers, because I just got my ass poisoned by a Heavy with Holiday Punch on Hightower recently. Now, I am going on this rather undaunting road to try and do back to them, what they did to me. Now I can understand that I might be getting some rather wrong looks like "You're terrible at the game!" or "That's a skill issue on your part!", or anything that the community might put up just to mock me for my failures. But I will confront those insults, one way or another.

So for those who are willing to assist me in my road to "friendly-slaying" (if the community is willing to do so, that is), how are you supposed to deal with them on each and every class in the game? And is there any TF2 Content Creators out there that specialize in "friendly-slaying"? And to those "friendlies" reading this, If you see my IGN, you had better not run into me, unless you want a rocket/grenade/stickybomb up your rear-end. I'll make myself clear: Don't interact with me if you aren't going to play the game actively. And if you want to be a "friendly" on a server I am also in, then just stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of yours. You can identify me by my samurai loadout when I am playing Soldier or Demoman (Killer's Kabuto, Shogun's Shoulder Guard, Hornblower for Soldier; Samur-Eye, Bushi-Dou, Shin Shredders for Demoman), the Wicked Good Ninja Pack loadout when I am playing Scout, or my ronin loadout when I am playing Spy (Hong Kong Cone, Noh Mercy, Rogue's Robes).

Anyways, I am terribly sorry for being salty about "Friendlies" in this discussion... I was really heated in typing this, and hopefully I will try to be a bit better about the game going forward. And to those "friendlies" trying to "sympathize" with me, don't usher me into a rage, and stay out of my way.

UPDATE: Sorry for the sudden update, but I just wanted to let anyone seeing this know that I was extremely tilted in making this discussion. Please ignore this discussion, as I am regretful for having sparked a fire in the community. And I sincerely apologize to the friendlies that are reading this beforehand.

Literally just ignore them. There's no reason to be miserable at other people having fun when it's not hurting you.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

kick them, kill them, ignore them, or requeue

As far as the lone friendly Heavy or whatever is concerned, I consider them sleeper agents. They're going to do something slick like taunt kill you or cap the objective when they get an opportunity. just don't turn your back on them.
But, I'm afraid you'll be (deservedly) ostracized for crashing conga lines or other group activities.

huntsman arrow to the brain
There is one guide on the issue you're experiencing:
https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3282976556
It also includes every detail you need to know about those griefers.

Always be sure to votekick your friendlies and kill every enemy friendly not only because it's a shooter they launched all by themselves then be completely disregarding shooter elements on PvP servers for attention seeking and going against the grain at the expense of actual players, but because you also risk losing the entire server due to everyone being a friendly and then you can't play, unless you follow 1 VS 1 meta (yes, we've totaly queued for that experence, and that's not how it should be played).

By killing friendlies you can also invoke them to play the shooter game.

It's not their place, it's a shooter, there is no wrong moment to shoot, being a friendly is an extreme + always wrong, and ruins the game for everyone playing on PvP servers.

Just be glad it's not other source games like dota or csgo and people have some actual freedom to goof off.

You have the freedom of shooting however you want in a shooter.

Every single game you've listed has that, uh, other freedom -- on appropriate places for it.

Both DOTA and CS 2 have that freedom on certain community servers.
It would be goofing off if you were doing it for like 5 seconds, not for extended amount of time.

A comparison could be made, not very accurate I imagine, but the idea is: if someone insuits the other in a heated argument - that's just being mean and rude. If that someone continues doing it for the entire day - that's harassment.

tl;dr - ~5 seconds is goofing off, doing that for extended of time is idling + griefing.
