There are no choices so we're honestly at a loss of what sort of achievements would be in the game.
Honestly, I'm not that bothered by them being there or not, but its doable. And I guess it lets you show off to people that you actually finished the game :v
I think people find it hard to accept "Achievements" in VN's, especially kinetic novels because we associate Achievements with...well...Achieving something. And yes, I know there are Achievement Hunters who would complain because it's basically a "free game" (though alternatively I imagine many would buy the game because of that fact...underhanded a business tactic as that might seem). But I think the right way to look at it, at least for people like myself isn't that we're getting the Achievement for the sake of showing off, but instead if the product is interesting enough to us we can put an achievement up from that game (even if it's only a single achievement for seeing it through to the end) that basically says, "Hey, this was a good enough story I had to put this up, maybe you should check it out?".
But that's just my way of thinking when it comes to achievements in VN's. I'm sure plenty would disagree.
We've been considering Achievements that are more like milestones, go for some fun names, and mostly to facilitate players getting badges. But we'd like to do games in the future where achievements are more meaningful.
I know that's why I bought it.
Basically, in the future when there are more choices/routes, we'll have more developed Achievement system in place.
