New windows update caused resolution error again

After the recent windows update, the game now is giving the resolution error and wont launch. The old fix no longer works (making the compatibility to windows 8 and disable full screen settings) Anyone else have this or know how to fix?

day two of this issue for me, has happened before and a restart fixed it, but not this time. still cant get it to load.

yeah I get the same issue. Even setting to lowest resolution, still causes error saying i should lower resolution. lol...

Yeah, just got the game and it won't load properly. Boo

A quick fix for me was to temporarily lower the refresh rate of my monitor.

I have a 165hz monitor and changed it to 60hz in the monitor settings before starting the game.
After the game starts you can change it back to a higher refresh rate.

Hope this works

I just tried this and it worked. Wow. I have a 240 hz monitor and I switched to to 60 hz and the game booted. That's wild. Thank you for the suggestion
