My hours on Steam don't reflect how much I played the game. Review made after almost 90 hours on Uplay!

This game was flooded with negative reviews when it made it on Steam. And I can understand in a way why people give Ubisoft crap. But, as a long time fan of this series, Mirage was everything I hoped for when they said they'll make an old school styled AC game with Valhalla's engine. I did not build crazy expectations, everything they said they will, they did. An old school AC game with what they had to work with.
They took everything I disliked about Valhalla, and only kept what I enjoyed the most, and put it into a small game.
Is the parkour amazing? No.
Is the gameplay amazing? Nope.
Is the story a masterpiece? No.
But, this is the closest thing we've been to a normal AC game since Syndicate. And as someone that grew up playing AC on my old Nokia phone, AC Mirage delivered all I asked for. If we change the whole Loki BS, and the focus multi kill, this is just a simple down to earth AC game, like in the first game.
I like this game. I like the atmosphere. I like the soundtrack. And yes, I like the story, and the parkour. For something that was supposed to be a DLC for Valhalla, this is a great AC game.
However, seeing as the series only goes worse and worse by the day, this will probably be the last AC game I'll ever buy/play.
I'm an old time fan of this franchise, played each game, but seeing how Shadows looks like, and all the other future AC games have been leaked... It's anything but the series I grew up with. Which is why Mirage has a soft spot for me.
And why, as much as it's trendy to hate Ubisoft, I appreciate that they made it.

Its 2024 why cant we have lips match the words coming out of the characters mouths. AC2 did better than this smh

I bet this game would've been amazing if not for their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher.
