The Floridale Man: The Joy of Chaos demo is OUT NOW!

That's right, you can finally experience Floridale for yourself! We've released a special demo for this week only as a part of Steam Next Fest (and to celebrate the final days of our Kickstarter, which you should totally back if you haven't yet). This demo features the beach, one of the main areas of the game.

Hi folks! We've got a lot to fill you in on, so let's get right into it.

We launched our Kickstarter!

If you didn't watch the showcase, we just launched the Floridale Man: The Joy of Chaos Kickstarter campaign with the help of our friends over at Six One Indie! Watch the new gameplay trailer that went with the announcement:

Floridale Man: The Joy of Development Updates, Issue 1

Hi everyone! It’s been a bit. We’ve got some UPDATES for y’all!

First up: We’re going to Anime NYC next week, August 23-25! We’ll be there with our friends at Play NYC exhibiting in the Gaming Hall. It’s our first time showing Floridale Man: The Joy of Chaos off in public, and we’re hyped. Please stop by and say hi if you’ll be in town! We’ll update you with the exact location of our booth on the floor as soon as we’re able. You can learn more on the Anime NYC website.

Shout out to my mom back home for holding onto all our booth stuff for us.

Second: We’re launching a Floridale Man: The Joy of Chaos Kickstarter! Please pre-save our campaign when you get the chance. You’ll be notified when the Kickstarter officially launches, and your early support would mean so much to us.

As far as dev goes, we’re still hard at work! Things feel like they’re really starting to come together over here. We’re updating the UI, adding new character models to the game, designing levels, and setting every NPC on fire in playtests. (Ok, at least that’s what I do in playtests.)

That’s all we’ve got for now. Thanks again for your support as we’ve been working hard to make the game happen. We’ll have some more news for you in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, please wishlist our game if you haven’t yet! It would mean so much!

Floridale Man

The concept is interesting and looks like it'd be fun, but lots of demo problems.

1. I finished the 'get the get the squid ink gun' quest and talked to the goth girls, but the quest isn't proceeding and Gator isn't giving a new hint, still saying to combine items. I also tried to put the gun into the chest in Poseidons shop, didn't trigger anything. Also tried blasting him with the gun, lol. I've also been unable to talk to Chum since I picked it up for the fish part of the goth quest. Maybe there's other options, I dunno. 1a. I also forget the quest name I'm supposed to be on, some ki...
