I want to thank those that took part in the test.

A lot of feedback has been gathered and noted.

What is clear from the test,

1. The game loop needs more to it.
2. UI and ship UI controls need a rework
3. its not really clear on how to do things. like landing and cargo runs etc
4. alot of work on the flight mechanics.

There is alot more but these come to mind as I write this.
Its clear the game needs to head in a better direction. but also there was alot of positive feedback to.

So stay tuned to the discord or forums for further updates.

Controls

I have played just a little and am planning on playing more. The controls feel a bit clunky and not being able to inverse the mouse was difficult to get used to. Can't wait to be able to play this with my HOTAS joystick and being able to customize controls. Obviously this is not the Devs first piority, Not being ablt ot stop/hover without a menu button is a bit weird.. but the environment and flight characteristics are great start. Play Test Is Now Live

I'm pleased to announce that a new Round of play testing has begun.
This is free to try so please go ahead and try the game out.

As always this is an EARLY version of the game and as such features and bugs are still being worked on.

Hi all.
The play test has come to an end for now. I want to thank everyone who tried the game and gave feedback.
Moving forward, I will be working on progression and other features as well as fixing changing some of your feedback you gave.

Once I feel there is enough new content to test I shall resume the playtest once again.

What is the point?

This sounds like an intriguing concept! However, I’m curious—what exactly is the core game loop in Planet Prospector? Is it primarily about completing delivery jobs and mining for credits, or is there a deeper progression system in place? Also, what is the ultimate goal of the game? Is it to earn enough credits to own a capital ship, or is there something more long-term like aiding humanity’s colonization efforts? Understanding the larger purpose and how it all ties together would be great!...

17-05-24 Changelog - . Added Fuel refuel menu. (now you can choose how much fuel you want to add) . De-cluttered the icons at long ranges.
