The gameplay is really great.
I also appreciate the 2014 Hearthstone memes, I feel seen.

The achievement for getting defeated on wave 1 doesn't seem to work at all. If you want to get 100% achievements, don't get the game until this is fixed.

TL;DR - Autobattler that's fun in spurts, but can be frustrating toward the end of a run and achievement hunting is a nightmare until changes are made.

Not TL;DR:

The game is an auto battler involving memes (wow, who knew). Characters have emojis they launch at their enemies per second. Each full arsenal is launched at a set pace so having more emojis in the arsenal doesn't slow down attacking. Each emoji does something different and each character has emojis they can get or are locked out of getting with a few workarounds and universal ones, including most relics and perks involving them.
Perks enhance a character's stats or emojis by either adding more emojis to the arsenal, giving general stat buffs, or giving an effect that works on other stats/emojis.
Relics do the same, but (usually) to a greater extent. Relics can also combine with certain other relics to give you both effects enhanced, or an even better effect for ones that require more relics. Ones that had downsides are also removed or lessened, usually.

In the standard game, you have 30 battles to face, after each wave giving you a choice of perk, along with a random event every 3rd wave between each boss that provides some relic or gain/loss. Every 5th wave has a shop with 3 relics and 3 perks preceding a boss battle. Each boss has set perk arsenal. Ads between each boss wave are randomized, with ads gaining more perks in later waves.

What I like about the game:

The variety of builds that are viable early on is abundant.

Endless mode makes things fun if you want to try nearly any combination of things available.

Modding documentation is easy to read and go through.


What keeps this game held back are a few things:

Random events sometimes have an order that they'd like to be in to unlock choices in the latter event (gain a key that provides small attack speed in one event that is used to unlock the other event).
Sometimes only 1 or 2 events have a specific relic you need to combine and you just don't get it in certain runs or others you get it, but not the other relics needed.

If we were able to pay for rerolls with either in-game currency systems, that would help with how bad the rng is for random events. Same for relic choices after each boss. One free reroll each for boss relics, events, and shop items is nice, but definitely feels like all the rerolls should just work for wherever you want them to, including the generic perk rerolls that I sometimes just don't use. If not, maybe allowing a pre-ban list for relics, perks, and events would also be nice.

Difficulty spikes too much for ads between waves 26-29. Lower it slightly or make the assortment they can get more random because it feels like they're meant to counter my build if I'm not beating them in 1 second by the time I reach that point.

Honestly, if you wanna play more than a few hours of the game to get all the achievements, this game is not worth it with the current issues. It's fun every now and then, but it gets frustrating at points.
