I'm so tired of hearing the motion sick excuse. Many of us do not experience motion sickness at all, so why is this ever a reason not to make something in VR? Put a motion sickness warning for those who are frail.
I suspect companies are hesitant because the development cost and the impact people wanting their money back and talking bad about their experience could have on their ability to recover that investment. I'm not sure if the numbers actually add up that way, but I do suspect that's the way most companies tend to think.
