I'm not able to duplicate this behavior...

Might your Scroll Wheel sensitivity (or scroll distance) be set a touch too high?
Try lowering them (a little or a lot) to see if that helps any.

You might be triggering the reversal just by brushing up against the scroll wheel too.

It's not the mouse as far as I can tell. No game has similar issues. And it only happens on the set ticks that my mouse can move on. For example when the mouse wheel clicks into place on it's cycle, It flicks forward a slot then immediately backwards.

When was the last time you thoroughly cleaned your mouse?

Dirt/Finger Grease (yuck)/Lint & Pet Dander accumulate on the wheel rollers over time.
These all would also cause inaccurate positioning of the Scroll Wheel motion sensor...

If you can't disassemble your mouse, you can tilt the Scroll Wheel to view/clean the rollers.
You'll need some narrow (preferably plastic) tools, or some flat toothpicks for best results...

I use plastic dental picks - you should be able to get these at Amazon.

About a month or two ago was the last I cleaned it, I've had it for about 3 years now I believe. It's the steelseries rival 3 wireless

OK, then... I'll keep trying to duplicate it (between Blood Moons, of course - priorities).
If I find anything out, I'll let you know.
