I know i have seen the negative reviews about the developer but I just want to know if the gameplay and everything is worth to buy

I recently booted up the game again to give it another try but noticed none of my unlocks were there, and so far I havent been able to find a save manager or something to resume my progress. Any suggestions or workarounds would be wonderful, thank you.
