Simcity 5
Kinda sucks the map size is super limited, couldn't place anymore residents to handle debt. Does anyone like the 5th game or nahh? They'll never update Simcity 5 to increase the size of the cities.

Facts. Oooff. I wish they made the map bigger, seems impossible to earn profit with citizens. Might try City Skylines.

SC4 large maps are significantly bigger than SC13's, which are in paper about the size of a SC4 medium map, but in practice, due to larger building sizes in SC13, feel smaller than even SC4 small maps, Plus, true region play in SC4 to simulate metropolises.

As for debt, like any other builder type game, you should not go into it in the first place. Avoid overservicing your cities with services and always keep an eye on the budget, which should be green and generating a profit. Let the simulation run for a bit if you need extra cash.

Debt and deficit spending help get me through the early game. As the loans drop off it turns into a large budget surplus. When I am ready to put in a subway, I'll tack on the debt again to pay for it, usually keeping a small surplus.

You Just use Regions to offload costs and move industry into other regionas and connect them as a HUB

Simcity13 is just weird. My first impression is that it looked good and you wish the map was bigger so you can build a legit city with a center, suburbs highways ect. You just dont have space for that each city just end up like kowloon walled city because its a sqaure and its filled in with highrises. Or a town next to a industrial area because that can also easely take over half a city. And the more you play that game the more you find out that everything is just really dumb game design. Like that solar car par you can just run a city without electricty and water because they just love the reall life advertisment that much. Atleast they have electric cars while living like its the 1700. The pathfinding makes no sense the fact that cities only have 1-2 highway connection and thus it will always clog up. Yes transportation could solve that but a airport is also 1/3 the map and you need a train connection. So thats out of the question for some maps.

I just stop here my point is
Simcity 4 is a unfinished mess made with love but Simcity13 is a unfinished cash grab made with greed

SimCIty 5 was SimCities societies, simCity 6 was SimCity 2013. Why do so many people not remember simcity societies which launched after simcity 4 and before simcity 2013?

SC:Societies is more of a side project focusing on social aspects, than a full fledged city builder, it is very different in scope from the other games of the franchise.

Either way, technically speaking, SimCity 2013 is a reboot, simply titled SimCity, and not 5 nor 6.

But for ambiguity purposes, many refer it as either SC13 or SC5 - as it is the 5th full fledged city builder of the franchise - to differentiate it from the very first version.

While many, if not most, refer to it as SC5, I have never seen anyone referring to SC:S as the 5th version.

I just remember form the data I saw in the SC:S binaries, but yea, it was literally a serious version of SimTown windows 3.1 game. I played SimTown on the family windows 95 OR1 machine, and it was not very exciting compared to SimCIty 2000. I really wish Evil Arts game Maxis the time to finalise SimCity, but I guess they were to eager to cause it to fail. I beat SC:S with all of the different aspects so quickly that I just lost interest in it and went back to SimCity 4. To me, it literally felt like a serious version of SimTown.
