Going through this will play games with your mind. So far in my opinion this is the best graphics, audio, animation, story, that i've seen in a video game. Only complaint is there isn't a lot to do except walking, puzzles, and occasional fights.

Such a well written, story driven experience. I love games like this where I can make an emotional connection to the main character. With Hellblade II, as in Hellblade I, the writers of the story made this easy. There are suspenseful, almost scary moments, along with truly peaceful moments to allow the player to feel what has to be the emotional highs and lows of the main character.

Of course in this story rich game, there is combat. It is fun. I wish it had more combat, but the real battle is in Senua's mind. With the fantastic voice acting, the developers created a way to look into Senua's mind, and feel her struggles. Her inner voice can be degrading and at other times supportive. It is difficult to perceive if we are experiencing her psychosis or the reality of present day. Perhaps that confusion is on purpose.

There are some fairly easy visual puzzles to solve as in the first Hellblade. These do not seem as difficult as the puzzles in the first game, but perhaps this is because I am used to them now. I say these are visual puzzles because they usually deal with forming an intricate rune.

The graphics and sound in this game are extremely well done. The Unreal Engine has created almost photographic imagery that showcases Iceland in the Viking era. There are many options that you can play with to get the FPS you want. I encountered no issues.

Hellblade II is short. I wish it had more combat and a longer story line, but still, I highly recommend this game.

An unworthy sequel. The character models and animations are phenomenal - the backgrounds not so much, since there's only rocks and caves to render. Additionally they made the mistake to add "gameplay" at all, since the repetitive combat and the annoying puzzles, which already got old in the 1st game, only made the game worse. They should have just released a movie and be done with it, although the story is a bit thin for that as well.
