Minor Update

This update features the following changes:

Slow down placement of new Loads if player has failed assets and not in hard mode
Cyclone related mission will not occur if not allowing extreme weather
Prevent two UI popups at once that can occur when placing a special Load like an oil pump
Fix bug where a Load could be placed overlapping with a Wind Turbine or Grid Battery under some circumstances
Improved visuals for smoke shown while there is fog
Transition between music tracks is now smoother
Minor optimizations of Load mesh

Substation Naming

Is it possible to name the substations? Remembering where each one based on number can be a little bit of a pain. Maybe I'm just missing it?

New Missions, Visuals and Optimisations

This update features the following changes:

Added seven new missions.
Players can now rename substations, pole, power generators and energy hub substations.
Added spinning mesh to symbolise a mission, alert or achievement when UI window opens.
UI Asset Info Window better locks position to top left when resizing.
Hidden Asset Customisation Panel, which is under the Tools Menu. It only had Substation EMF Shielding at present, which is accessed in other ways.
If a player starts building far away from the center of the map during the interactive tutorial, the roads and loads will change their starting position to match. Not used during normal gameplay.
Swapped the order of the "What" and the "Why" in the interactive tutorial to ensure players can read it all before moving to the next task.
Added Poles to the Power Study tools, to allow visualisation of all poles and quick upgrading.
Power Source price changed to "N/A" when at placement limit.
The Details popup for a fault will show high-level info about the fault and what the player should do, along with the previously shown text.
The default choice of Substation to connect to for a Capacitor Bank is now the one it will help with the most.
First Oil storage research is cheaper and quicker. EHS research is more expensive.
Demo is now longer
Fixed bug where conditions may stop oil market UI updating and stops showing warnings for oil supply levels.
Fixed bug with placement of lightning rod being offset
Fixed bug where game speed said "Normal" but actual game speed may be another value
Fixed bug where Land Reserve function was being ignored under certain conditions

LOD Optimisation, Steamdeck support and More

This update features the following changes:

LOD (level of detail) added to mesh objects for greatly improved performance, particular for lower graphics settings
Improved UI for Steamwdeck and other narrow screen displays
Data storage for graphs now use a multithreading method for better performance
Asset config UI now shows a preview of the asset's mesh on the left (including earth rods)
Asset config UI now shows earthing text configuration for Energy Hub Substation (EHS)
Emergency air drop of oil was previously 10x the normal oil purchase method (by sea). Now only 3x if not on hardmode.
Fixed how some units of measurement were shown.

Mission failed because 82 < 81

Just running the demo. Second mission asked for 5 poles and at least 0,81 PF. By the time the mission ended, I had a PF of 0,82, but still failed the mission. In the popup it claims I had a PF of 0,80. Great first impression.

Hello, love the game and the idea generally. I particularly love the lagging mechanic, its about time someone modeled a power grid accurately. A couple thoughts in no particular order: Can I tilt the camera down somehow? Its too shallow for me when I zoom out. Will there be more power stations? I'm thinking wind, solar, gas turbine, eventually nuclear etc It would be cool to have to design the grid with HV lines and transformers, and make cold starting a generator like a mini game where I have to sync its...

Thanks for releasing a demo! I played a little bit and failed the first mission after having restarted it once, and so I haven't gotten that far, but wanted to give some feedback as a new player. - Leading / Lagging Power Factor is not well-explained. I understand that EEs care a lot about it because of reactive power and how the phases interact, but the way it's explained in the tutorial popups is that it's just leading or lagging, and then by some fraction. It's not clear how that impacts the overall P...
