I really need help with this. GOW: Ragnarok Says "Running" then just goes back to "Play"
Ever since the first patch, i have been unable to play GOW: Ragnarok. When i hit "Play" it will say "Launching" then go in to "Running" and then immediately just stop and it goes right back to "Play". I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this. I have an RTX 4060, 16gb ram, AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-Core Processor, 1TB SSD, and and external HD. Below is what i've done...

1. Verified the game files
2. Checked my graphics drivers were updated
3. Went to the exe file and hit "run as administrator"
4. Updated my c++
4. Attempted to run in -dx11 and -d3d11
5. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled in the same place on my SSD. Same thing
6. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled in my external HD. Same thing

As of now i have no idea what do to. Been waiting for this to come to PC for a while, and now i can't even play it. Can anyone help me with this?

I face the same issue after I installed newest patch. They simply broke the game. Quality of this port sucks from the beginning. You can uninstall the patch and physically disconnect computer from the internet (requires SteamDB previous version ID) or wait until they repair the game.

How do you uninstall the patch? The controller and VRAM changes completely destroyed the game for me.

Via Steam console. You can find on SteamDB an ID of every single build that ever existed. This applies to every game on steam. Once you find proper build ID you open console, type in some command and it forces Steam to download older version, it works like an inverted update. Once you are done, you need to switch off your internet connection. Steam won't let you play outdated game as long as you are online (physically, not switching to offline on your friend's list). There are tutorials on reddit what needs to be typed in the console to make it work.

At least i'm not the only once this is happening to and more than likely it will get fixed. Stuff like this should NEVER happen but it is what it is. I'm sure a lot of you were like me and waited forever for this to come out on PC. The its released, we play it for a little bit, and then they screw it all up. I just hope they fix this asap.
Bruh This Patch Sucks.
My Game Starts, But Then Steam just says it's Running But Then Nothing.
No game Nothing It just Says Running And that it.

Yes Just change your audio output on windows then it works

When in game you can just change it back (worked for me)
Go to C:\ProgramData\Sony and delete it after that verify your game fils and then try to start the game.

You will have to do that every time you start the game

To add to this, I uninstall the Sony Network stuff and installed the PSN bypass mod from Nexusmods and am able to launch with no issue now.
