ALPHA DEMO PLAYTEST DISCLAIMER: Alpha Playtest 1 will run from October 16 to October 30 PT. This Alpha testing period seeks to test our new dynamic dungeon system, in-game narrative choices, weapon breakdown and crafting loop, and in-world immersion.

RIFTSTORM Alpha Playtest is Now LIVE!

Hello everyone,

The wait is over, our RIFTSTORM Alpha Playtest is now live, and you can try the game for free from 16 - 30 October, 2024 (PT).

After two playtests and two years in production, RIFTSTORM is now officially in Alpha, and we owe a massive thanks to all of you who have been testing the game with us.

Peer into the Darkness

This Alpha version of the game aims to address one of your biggest concerns from our previous playtests: thematic immersion. A lot of you loved our game, but didn't quite get what your role is in our world or what the Mythic Protocol is. This time around, we've reworked our tutorial system to throw players into the deep dark underbelly of the secretive organization.

New environments, new weapons, new systems

We've also implemented our overhauled Dungeon System 2.0, that allows for greater map design flexibility and more interactive actions in our maps, alongside our updated Loot and Crafting systems in the game. Based on your feedback, we've expanded the armory inventory and provided universal access to it across all characters. We hope that these changes help to improve the loot grind and allow you to refine your builds with your idea weapons for each character.

Get competitive

By popular demand, leaderboards are also back in this playtest though we are focusing the challenges a bit more this time around. If you're the competitive type, we will be hosting timed-runs for the leaderboard and endurance runs for the Challenge Tower.

Each floor you conquer in the Challenge Tower brings you closer to the top, unlocking exclusive in-game items and more.

Fayi here, and I’m super excited that our Alpha Playtest starts tomorrow🥳 Are you ready to play RIFTSTORM for FREE for 2 weeks? Because I sure am!

Currently, the RIFTSTORM team is putting the finishing touches on preparations for tomorrow’s Alpha Playtest. We’re excited to make sure everything goes perfectly so you can fully enjoy playing RIFTSTORM. Also, I want to let you know that our Alpha Demo page is now LIVE. Don't forget to check out the details there.

In preparation for our playtest, I want to let you know that RIFTSTORM is just the tip of the iceberg in our sprawling Occultical universe. Set within this vast world, RIFTSTORM connects to Confiction Labs' growing ecosystem of games, media, and more. To access exclusive media, rewards, and other products within our ecosystem, we invite you to join our Portal.[one.confiction.com]

What is a Portal?

The Portal is where community members, fans, and players can delve into the world of Occultical and Collaborative Entertainment. Designed as a nexus for media, content, and exclusive rewards, the Portal invites all users to become a part of the Mythic Protocol.

During this Alpha Playtest, you’ll have the chance to get exclusive skins and more rewards just by playing RIFTSTORM and completing the playtest mission arc. Available only to early participants (only last from 16 October to 30 October PT).

You’ll collect Protocol Points by finishing assignments in-game which can be claimed through the assignment's dashboard. These points act as a valuable currency within the Confiction Labs ecosystem, providing players with the ability to unlock and redeem future rewards.

What are the protocol points?

Protocol points refer to the points given to the users in our Portal for completing quests. These protocol points can later be redeemed for future rewards (i.e. exclusive alternative Weaver skins, access to new media, in-game rewards, and more). Protocol Points are accumulated through the completion of in-game and ecosystem-related assignments.

Collect your protocol points and don’t miss your chance to be among the first to play. Be sure to download the demo[confiction.link] from 16 October to 30 October PT.

Mythic Protocol creates bots to spam this game all over reddit.

/u/Big-Pin-969 /u/Logical_Club_3696 There's probably more but the entirety of these accounts post history is recommending riftstorm in threads which are completely unrelated to the thread. I think this is a really embarrassing and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ business practice. Mythic Protocol, please stop doing this. If you can't organically generate an audience, maybe you don't deserve one....
