Regarding patch v1.5 - Will visible sailors just walking around be addressed?
Hi there. :-)

One of the most immersion-flawed aspects (for me) up to current version v1.3.2 is the senseless walking around of sailors onboard my ship (yes, I've turned on visible sailors in the options).

What I mean by this is that my sailors don't do any actual work like scrubbing the deck, flicking sails, binding ropes, raising or lowering sails, loading/firing cannon in battle etc. which should depict the hard work and life on sea. They're just walking around like 'wet' chicken without any purpose (even/especially during combat).

Also, there's no actual captain, helmsman, or 1st officer visible on the ship.

I've just tried to read the future v1.5 patchlog, but I can't find any entry regarding this one.

So my question(s) to the devs:
Will this be addressed at some point (e.g. instead of walking just pin sailors to an actual spot with some work)?
Or is this no issue for other players and therefor negligible?

I agree with you,but for now the devs have more important aspects of the game to mend to.The sailors are more of a cosmetic for now,I for one would like more complex generated quest for sandbox or once you finish the storyline.I like the ideea for a game to be unendding,infinite.And of cource career options within the game.To be able to join the VoC or the enlist in any navy.

Thanks, Count Adelhardt. Regarding the large patchlog I already guessed that this topic wouldn't be of importance to the devs.
I'm just curious how many players see this issue as well, because in the end a ship doesn't sail by the invisible hand. :-)

I am glad the developer plans to address this. It is ridiculous when you are trying to talk to a captain and the sailors are all running into each other trying to use the stairs at the same time.
